The Blu-Ray Disc is here and the new format to ensure you get the best from your new LCD/PLASMA TV.   As well as the MPEG-2 format used by DVD-Video, the BD-Video disc uses video codes, such as MPEG-4 AVC and VC-1, delivering high image quality using high compression rates.The data transfer speed is about five times faster than DVD. These technologies allow long-time playback of content with high-definition image quality. Most of the major motion picture companies will be supporting this format.
